Get a Real Delaware Business Address
A Delaware business address is a physical commercial street address used by a company as its official principal (and usually mailing) location. Instead of listing a residential home address or a standard P.O. Box , a business address gives your LLC or corporation a professional location to list on your website, invoices, and banking documents—ensuring your company looks legit and established.
Our Registered Agent Service includes three free regular mail scans per year at no additional cost. (State and legal document scans will always be free and unlimited with registered agent service.) But if you anticipate handling larger volumes of business and personal mail, we offer affordable scanning options, starting at $49/year—or get unlimited mail scans with Virtual Office for just $19/month.
Benefits of a Delaware Business Address
While Delaware generally doesn’t require a principal address to be listed on formation or registration filings, solicitors love nothing more than spending their days in public records—and your annual report filings if you own a corporation—looking for your location.
Unless you’ve figured out how to clone yourself, a Delaware business address offers an easier (and cheaper) way to manage the stress of prying eyes, the headache of managing physical mail, and the worry of still maintaining a legit location while jet-setting in search of profits.
Protect Your Privacy with a Delaware Business Address
Delaware mostly doesn’t ask business owners to list their principal address on formation or foreign-registration applications. However, corporations are required to provide a principal place of business on their annual report filings. There are other public records where your personal address could appear—such as litigation records and foreign qualification in other states—and this is where having a dedicated business address could lend an extra layer of personal security.
Streamline Your Mail with a Delaware Business Address
By using a business address, which we provide you with when you hire us for registered agent service or to form your company, you minimize becoming vulnerable to receiving unwanted mail and phone calls from aggressive marketers and disgruntled clients trying to figure out where you sleep. If you decide you have too much mail to handle on your own and would rather receive it at your business address, you can explore our Mail Scanning services and get a unique suite number.
Boost Your Professional Image with a Delaware Business Address
Think about it this way: if you’re trying to land a big client, you want to look like a pro. If they see a home address on your paperwork, they might assume your business is just a hobby and question if it’s a good investment. Using a Delaware business address solves that issue—it gives your company ‘big corporate energy’ even if you’re working towards success from your couch.
Mail Scanning
When a piece of mail arrives at our office for your business, our local team opens it, scans it, and uploads a digital copy directly to your secure online account the exact same day. You get instant access to your mail from anywhere in the world. No need to set up a new P.O. Box every time you decide to work in a new location or move to a new home.
Think of mail scanning as the easiest way to keep the physical mail mess away from your kitchen table.
Benefits of Mail Scanning Service
Mail scanning allows that kitchen-table mess to become a digital solution that takes some of the stress out of running a business. But having your mail digitized isn’t just about keeping your workspace clean—it keeps your personal information protected so that you can focus on expanding your brand.
Here are some of the biggest perks of switching to a digital mailbox:
- Keeps your home address off certain records such as your website, certain state filings, customer invoices, and public databases that data brokers are itching to scrape.
- Creates a professional business presence by masking an obvious home address or P.O. Box.
- Handles your physical mail mess by scanning everything and digitally uploading it to your online portal.
- Allows you to be operational in multiple states or remotely since your business address won’t be tied to a single physical location.

Benefits of Virtual Office Service
Renting a commercial office or owning a brick-and-mortar storefront is crazy expensive—especially when you’re just starting out. But just because you don’t have a fancy corner office and a downtown corporate lease doesn’t mean your business shouldn’t have credibility.
That’s the real benefit of a virtual office: it removes the reason a bank would hesitate to give you an account or why a high-paying client could hesitate doing business with you. It gives you LLC legitimacy or corporate credibility with an actual lease and a dedicated phone line—which proves you’ve got a company worth investing in while you work from a beach or the back of a coffee shop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does having a virtual office replace the need for a registered agent?
No, it does not. Delaware law requires every LLC and corporation to maintain a registered agent to receive official state correspondence and legal notices. Think of your registered agent as fulfilling the state’s legal requirements while your virtual office serves as a tool to help manage your everyday business mail and professional image.
What is a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA)?
A CMRA is a private business (like a commercial registered agent) that is authorized by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to accept, handle, and forward mail on behalf of other individuals and companies. The USPS requires you to notify them when using CMRA service.
How do I let USPS know that my CMRA provider has permission to accept my mail?
To notify the USPS and grant us legal permission to receive and handle your regular business mail, you simply need to complete PS Form 1583 (Application for Delivery of Mail Through Agent). To fill out the form, you will simply need to provide:
- Your full name: Must match the legal spelling on your ID and proof of address.
- Your current residential address: Your personal address—no P.O. Box allowed.
- A valid photo ID: A driver’s license, state ID card, passport, etc.
- A separate proof of address: A current utility bill, bank statement, insurance policy, etc.
Tip: After you order our Virtual Office or Mail Scanning Service, you’ll be able to complete Form 1583 directly inside your client portal. You’ll be prompted to upload a valid ID along with verification of your address. We’ll verify the form internally, collect a digital signature from you, and submit it to the USPS on your behalf.
Where am I allowed to use my Delaware business address and unique suite number?
You can use your business address and suite number almost everywhere! Once we assign your unique suite number, it is yours to list on your professional website, company letterhead, customer invoices, marketing materials, and more.
If you are filling out applications related to your company (such as business licensing), you’ll always need to check with that specific government entity to see what they allow in terms of listing your business address as your principal place of business. We place no limitations on how your can use your business address, but a third party might have other rules.
Be sure to check out our services page and explore all the ways you can obtain a Delaware business address!
What happens if I go over my mail scanning limit?
If your business receives more mail that anticipated, we will never reject or return your mail. Our regular Mail Scanning Service offers 10-25 mail scans per year (not including state and legal notices). If your business grows faster than expected, you can easily upgrade to unlimited monthly scanning with our virtual office package and avoid over-limit fees.
